Dr. Donna Housman is Founder of Beginnings and a clinical psychologist. She holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Boston University and is Assistant Clinical Professor at the B.U. School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Housman oversees all administrative, academic, research, and clinical training activities at Beginnings. She also maintains a private practice for children and adults in Wellesley Hills; serves as Treasurer of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health; and is a member of the New England Center for Children Advisory Board. In addition, she is the Executive Director of Beginnings'' Board of Directors, comprised of professionals in finance, management, education, and psychology.
Maria Borrero serves as Education Director for Beginnings, providing instructional leadership to faculty, building relationships with families, and managing day-to-day educational activities. She has been with Beginnings as a teacher and education director for eight years. During her time at Beginnings, Maria has managed staff schedules, staff meetings, and coordinated special programming such as Spanish classes. She has achieved a Certificate of Qualifications from the MA Department of Early Education & Care for teaching infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and is Director I and II certified. Maria earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from Lesley University, and an Associate degree in early childhood education.
